Prescriptions

Prescription Process

You can order your regular medications using the methods below.

  1. You can order your repeat medicine using a secure app, like mygp or Patient Access. These online services display all your dosages, allowing you to select what you need. If you are new to this service, ask the surgery receptionist for details on how to register.

  2. By dropping your prescription off at reception.

  3. Calling between 9 am and 5 pm to speak to someone from our dedicated prescription team.

You can collect repeat prescriptions in two working days. This does not include Bank Holidays or weekends. Please do not allow yourself to run out of medication. Order your repeat prescription at least a week in advance. This is especially important if you’re going on holiday or if the surgery will close for Bank Holidays.

Period Delay Medication

As of 15th October 2024, the practice will stop prescribing medication to adults who want to delay their periods for festivals, travel, or sports.

To delay your period, visit a pharmacy website and place a private order for the medication.

You need to fill out a health and medication questionnaire. It should take roughly 10 minutes. If they give you Norethisterone, they will tell you about the possible risks and side effects.

The pharmacy will either send the tablets to your home or let you pick them up at a nearby branch. There, they can also check your blood pressure.  Prices range from £14 to £40, depending on how long you wish to delay your period.
